Halter less Showmanship- Memorial Show,
Friday night or Saturday night.
For the halter less showmanship, there will
be a detailed pattern. You do not have to be dressed up in
traditional showmanship attire. More than one person will be
allowed to participate with the same horse. For the younger
ones, we will have a Pee Wee division.
Entry Fee: $10.00
Judge: N/A
Prizes:
1st place= money
2nd place= basket(filled with horse show
goods) Donated by Amy Sterling
3rd place= moxie's bling apparel(depending on
gender) Donated by Jill Noyes
4th place= unknown at the moment Donated by
Morgan Santagata
***Question of the day.
First 3 people with correct answer that are
drawn win a prize. Prizes might be provided by Buddy at the Tack
Connection. Libby Strickland will contact Buddy and find out
about the prizes. Other prize ideas are Dunkin Donuts gift
cards, gas cards, and Chinese food gift cards.
***Bingo.
There will be a bingo sheet. Then there will
be a sheet of scavenger hunt type questions for people to do.
Once they have done all of these things, they must come up to a
designated person and prove to them that they have done this,
and gotten bingo. The first 3 people to come up to us with bingo
will win prizes. Prizes could be little trinkets.
***Dinner & Dance.
Invitations: Someone will need to provide the
invitation paper, I think we have a person to do so.
Food: We could either have this as a potluck
type thing where everyone brings something of their own for
people to feast on. Or we can go places and try to get donations
of either food or plates, napkins, and utensils.
***Apparel.
MeQHYA: For the
Maine
youth team, this year we would like to try and do hooded
sweatshirts, instead of wind breakers. You can either purchase
these, or you can earn them by selling a certain amount of
tickets.
Congress: For the
Maine congress youth team jackets, we
are still keeping the traditional jackets. The congress jackets
will be supplied by the club.
***Walk- Trot (English and Western)
To earn the circuit champion prize; "Small
Fry Showmanship" is mandatory. Also for the walk- trot, western,
English, and showmanship we would like to have the older youth
team members stand either in or outside of the arena. We would
also like to have a "Mom" at the out gate to take pictures of
the children.
***Horseshoe Tournament
We are trying to see if we can still have the
Horseshoe Tournament held at the shows and have part of the
money earned be donated to the youth group, as done in past
years.
***Bottle Drive
As done in past years we would like to have
the bottle drive. We still need someone with either trailer or
truck space to be able to haul the bottles back and forth
between shows an houses. This person must also be able to store
the bottles at their house and be able to bring them to
redemption centers.
***Mock Class, Memorial Day Show.
This will be after the western warm up and
the English warm up. People will get a designated time for walk,
trot- jog, lope- canter. It will be called out just as a regular
class would be.
Entry Fee: $5.00
***Jackpot Raffle
Each pot will be $250.00 and there will be
one drawing each show, therefore there will be a chance to win
$750.00. You name will go into the drawing 3 times, one fore
each show, even if you win you still go in. The youth member who
sells the most tickets at each show will win a prize.
Price per ticket: $5.00
***Other Fundraising Ideas:
Trust Trail
Bridle less Western Pleasure
Golfer Dad Tournament
***Pine Tree Classic Youth Meeting Topics
Think of walk in performance and attire for
the Region 6 Experience.
P.S. If I made any mistakes please feel free
to fix them. I wasn't really sure on some of the descriptions
for some of the events so if you want to go through them and
talk to each other then please do so.
Respectively Yours,
Morgan
